Mac os sierra not downloading from app store
But for that, I have to download it from the app store. Instead of High Sierra, the app store offers me an upgrade to Catalina. Only the current OS is offered in the App Store.
You don't seem to understand me. You give me a link to a page with a link to High Sierra. If I click on the Download button, I am prompted to upgrade to Catalina. FWIW, that's not what happens here. For one thing the "button" is labeled "Get", not "Download". This advice is no longer correct.
It used to work. But it doesn't now. All of Apple's old installers were rendered non-functional because their certificate expired. If you visit the link on the Apple Support site that you just posted, it in turn gives you a link to the App Store, yes—but that link does not work anymore. If you click on the "Get" button, the App Store then informs you that the file is no longer available.
